A Springtime Giveaway!

Sweet perfumes scent the balmy air,
and life is brimming everywhere.
~Paul Laurence Dunbar

Springtime makes me happy! I love seeing everything in the garden blooming and all the beautiful creatures coming out to play! In honor of this beautiful season, I'm doing a Springtime Giveaway! Enjoy these lovely images taken this weekend in my garden and then scroll down to see details on the prize and how to enter!

A Momentary Spring

Pink seems to be the predominate color in my garden right now...
Pink x 2

The pompom (or powder puff) bush is bursting with spiky pink goodness:

And even my orchids have begun showing off their various shades of pinks:

Deep Pinks

Pale Pinks

Patterned Pinks

Magenta

Even our Bunco group is getting into Spring with a "Garden Party" themed bunco! I made these cute garden cupcakes for the party:

(idea stolen from the fabulous book Hello, Cupcake!)

Sally & I don our best Garden Hats (and for those Big Bang Theory fans, my pink & green floral dress is the same one Bernadette wore when she said Yes to Howard's proposal. sweet!)

How about a Spring Giveaway? I'm giving away to one lucky person, my beautiful hand-painted Butterfly Box which is filled with my Butterfly Note Cards and organic butterfly seeds I cultivated myself! Now, you can start your own Butterfly Garden! :)

All you need to do to have a chance to win is become a fan of my Photography Facebook Page or click the button on my blog that says "Join This Site" and become a member of my clubhouse! Then, leave a comment   about your favorite childhood garden memory! (If you are already a fan or member, just leave a comment for me so I know you were here!) I'll use a random number generator next week to pick a winner! And, here's another little incentive...if you are an artist or crafter, a little extra something will be in the box! :)  Good luck everyone and I'll leave you with one more image from my garden:

I liked you on FB, and my favorite childhood memory from the garden is when my Grandma used to carve our names in pumpkins that weren't orange yet, and then tell us that 'garden fairies' had picked them out for us. Thanks for the giveaway! :)

follow you on fb as Robin Scott
my favorite childhood memory from the garden is from my grandmother's house, who had a big, beautiful hydrangea bush in her yard - I was only 5-6 at the time, but loved that bush. I also loved snapdragons at my other grandmother's house, and think of them both everytime I see those plants

Also, not an entry, but your orchid photos remind me of a place I went to in Kuaui called Orchid Alley I remember seeing the orchids you picture, and probably 50-60 more - you will have to go there if you visit the island Robin S

Hi Robin! Thanks for sharing your memory! My favorite childhood memory is also of my grandma's. She had 10ft lilac bushes that went around half the house. To this day, it is my favorite flower although we don't have it out here. We have an Orchid place here too very similar. I have yet to go there but maybe now I will! :)

Your photos are beautiful! I follow through GFC and my favorite garden memory is making hollyhock ladies by joining a full flower (for the skirt) and a bud showing some color (for the head) with a toothpick!

Thanks for joining the clubhouse Sandy! And I LOVE the idea of your hollyhock ladies! Do you have a link to a photo of one? Sounds delightful!

Love those pom pom flowers! I've never seen anything like them before!

My favorite garden memory...there are so many, most from veggie rather than flower gardens, though. It's probably a toss-up between picking fresh peas and eating them straight from the pods...or sneaking into my aunt's garden to steal her blueberries and concord grapes!! :)

I liked you on Facebook and my favorite childhood garden memory is when I was super little our minister's wife would let me pick the cherry tomatoes straight from her garden and eat them. Ever since I have loved vegetable gardens and cherry tomatoes in particular. My email address is marikabarth at hotmail dot com

Nichole-one of my other memories of my grandmother's garden is the concord grapes...and a current berry bush that I would stand in front of and eat until I had a tummy ache. :)

Hi Marika! Thanks for joining my Facebook Fan page! Wonderful memory you shared! Gardens are a wonderful thing...:)

My favorite memory is when I would visit my grandma in Michigan, ans she would take us city kids out to her garden to show us all the veggies and flowers that were growing.

Hi Donna! I love it that most of our childhood memories are with grandmas! Just goes to show you how important grandmas really are. :)
