The End of Summer

It's been so busy around here and I don't even have kids going back to school! Maybe it's the end of summer, when you get that rushed feeling that the holidays are fast approaching and there are so many things you wanted to get done before they sneak up on you. Or maybe it's too many adventures scheduled too close together. Whatever the reason, summer always seems to get the best of me...I end up not being as creative, not working out as much, not eating as healthy...summer seems to be a time to indulge in vice and laziness. Maybe it's the heat, maybe it's just my DNA wanting to run barefoot, ride my bike and play outside until dark. Summer is coming to an end. And that means it's time to start being healthy, active and creative again.

Painted Roses

Summer Flowers

I got a good kick-start with this painting app for the iPhone called GLAZE. I learned about it from another photographer and have been having a grand ole time creating works of art on my iPhone. iPhoneography never ceases to amaze me and it's a great way to step back into my creative self. Enjoy the upcoming weekend everyone and above all, be safe and be creative! xo

A blog?! Whoa! Ha ha!

Hasn't life gotten so crazy and busy lately? I hate when it gets like this and distracts from our creative processes.

But these little iPhone shots are beautiful!! And a good start to a new phase of creativity, right? :)

Oh, this is a post I can certainly relate to! Autumn always seems to sneak up on me!

In terms of photography, I always get a huge rush of inspiration and energy in the last days of summer and the beginning of autumn. For me, it means that I should be preparing for the fact that there won't be any colors to shoot for the next 5+ months - so now it's the time to make the best of it! And whenever I need a bit of extra inspiration... well, I'll just take a look at your amazing work :)

And oh boy, you're so right about not working out enough/ not eating healthy - it's only 7 months+ for the Pennine Way! Time to get that exercise/diet plan going!

Anyway, warm greetings from Finland

Samuli: OMG. I know. 7 months...yikes! It's coming up fast and I only have two B&B's booked so far! Time to get busy not only working out but working on the trail itself! That said...I can't wait! So excited, lol.
